Supporting the microbiome is one of the key trends in skincare — and for good reason. With probiotics, we can effectively soothe irritations, strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, and improve its resistance to external factors. But how to introduce them into your daily routine? Check out our mini-guide!
When is the best time to use probiotics – morning or evening?
You can use probiotic cosmetics both in the morning and in the evening. In the morning they provide protection and support the barrier against external factors, while in the evening they work regeneratively, when the skin rebuilds more intensively.
Can probiotics be combined with acids and retinol?
Yes – but it’s best to use them alternately. Example: retinol in the evening, and probiotic serum in the morning. This way, the skin benefits from both ingredients without the risk of irritation.
Simple skincare ritual with probiotics (4 steps)
Cleansing:
Morning and evening, reach for LACTEE probiotic syndet – a gentle cleansing emulsion for face and body. It gently removes impurities without disturbing the microbiome.
Toning and face cleansing:
For evening makeup removal – LACTEE probiotic micellar water will be the perfect choice. Gentle yet effective, it removes makeup and soothes the skin.
Moisturizing:
Apply LACTEE probiotic serum to cleansed skin. It hydrates, soothes, and supports the protective barrier – a foundation of conscious skincare.
Nourishing:
Choose a cream tailored to your skin’s needs – especially if your skin is very dry or sensitive.

Tips for different skin types:
- Dry: go for the full routine with serum and a cream rich in lipids.
- Oily/acne-prone: probiotics support microbiome balance – choose a non-comedogenic serum.
- Combination: apply serum to problem areas, and moisturize the rest of the face with a lightweight cream.
- Sensitive/reactive: minimalism + gentle formulas are key. A probiotic emulsion and serum will be enough.
How long does it take to see results?
The first results – improved hydration and reduced irritation – may appear after just a few days. However, full improvement of the microbiome’s condition and reduction of inflammation is a process – give your skin at least 3–4 weeks.
